What We Do
The Senior Advisor for Workforce has been appointed by Governor Kaine to serve as the Chief Workforce Development Officer on the Governor’s behalf. The Senior Advisor and the Office of Workforce Development are committed to following the mission below to enhance Virginia’s workforce, provide support for the Virginia Workforce Council, and coordinate a more efficient and effective system to improve the Virginia Workforce Network.
Our Mission Statement
On behalf of Governor Kaine and the Virginia Workforce Council, we advance a unified and integrated workforce development system that connects employment, training, and education to produce a demand-driven, flexible, and skilled workforce.
Position Available: MARC Regional Project Director
The Tri-County Council for the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland, in partnership with the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, seeks to fill this position, Project Director for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Collaborative (MARC- Maryland, Virginia, and Washington).
