Virginia’s first Workforce Strategic plan, approved by Governor Timothy M. Kaine, was created to outline the Governor’s initiatives on improving Virginia’s Workforce System.
The Strategic Plan for Workforce outlines the needs and goals of Virginia’s workforce. Governor Kaine’s plan is the result of a highly collaborative effort between the Governor’s Cabinet, the Virginia Workforce Council, several Virginia legislators, key economic development and business leaders, the Virginia Community College System and Virginians who attended public meetings on the development of our state over summer 2006.
